The WA AIDS Council has a unique peer-based opportunity for an equally unique member of the LGBTI community to coordinate and manage the services we provide to LGBTI young people in Perth.
Freedom Centre provides a safe space for LGBTI young people and improves broad health outcomes for its visitors by providing access to information, referrals and education within a mental health promotion peer-based framework.
We're seeking a person who is autonomous, talented, capable, flexible and dynamic to ensure LGBTI young people feel empowered and in control of their health by:
- Providing community engagement and social interaction through a peer-based drop-in venue
- Reducing barriers faced by LGBTI young people in accessing youth, health and welfare services; and
- Increasing the awareness of diverse sexuality and gender issues of organisations who provide services to young people.
Applications must be received by 9.00am Monday 22 May 2017.
