2019 Strong Spirit Strong Mind Aboriginal Alcohol and Other Drug Awards

The Strong Spirit Strong Mind Aboriginal Alcohol and other Drug Awards acknowledge the outstanding work and contributions being achieved in the Aboriginal alcohol and other drug field.

Award winners will be announced at a dinner event to be held at 6.30pm, Thursday 15 August 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Perth.

Opportunities to nominate an individual or an organisation for an award are now open.

There are four Strong Spirit Strong Mind Award categories in 2019:

  • WA Aboriginal Alcohol and other Drug Worker of the Year
  • Innovative and culturally secure Aboriginal alcohol and other drug program
  • Partnership award
  • Organisation recognition award

The awards will take place during Working Together, Creating Change - 2019 Western Australian Aboriginal Alcohol and other Drug Workers Forum / 2019 Local Drug Action Groups State Conference, a collaborative event hosted by WANADA and Local Drug Action Groups Inc with support from the WA Mental Health Commission, the Public Health Advocacy Institute of WA, and Lotterywest.

If you would like to nominate a person, program or organisation for an award, please download a document nomination package (291 KB) , complete the relevant nomination form/s and return by Monday 24th June 2019.

Please note that late nomination forms cannot be accepted.
