Individuals, families and communities can be confident in the quality of the specialist alcohol and other drug sector with the launch of the Alcohol and other Drug and Human Services Standard.
Parliamentary Secretary Hon. Alanna Clohesy MLC officially launched the Standard at the 2019 Alcohol and other Drug Sector Forum held Tuesday 5 November 2019 at the State Library of WA.
The Alcohol and other Drug and Human Services Standard offers a robust quality management system that meets the specific needs of human service organisations - with tangible benefits for Boards, management, staff and consumers. Certification against a recognised standard is an essential component in securing ongoing government funding and building community confidence.
Nineteen services from Western Australia and Queensland are already certified against the first edition of the Standard, the Standard on Culturally Secure Practice (Alcohol and other Drug Sector). Both editions are registered with JAS-ANZ.
