WANADA to host Regional AOD Managers Forum in the Pilbara
WANADA to host Regional AOD Managers Forum in the Pilbara
WANADA is excited to host the Regional, Rural and Remote Alcohol and other Drug Service Managers Forum to be held over Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 May 2026 in the Pilbara.
The Pilbara visit marks the first time the event will be held in-person outside of the Perth metropolitan area, with most of the quarterly forums held online. The forums enable connection and collaboration, and knowledge and capability sharing among regional services. The forums also support WANADA’s advocacy on behalf of the WA alcohol and other drug sector. The event will include:
- Workshops covering emerging sector initiatives, issues, and specialty alcohol and other drug knowledge;
- a cultural tour of ancient rock art on Ngarda-Ngarli Country at Murujuga National Park;
- a visit to Hope Community Services – Pilbara Community Alcohol and Drug Service in Karratha and South Hedland;
- a visit to Yaandina Community Services in Roebourne and at Turner River; and
- a visit to Bloodwood Tree Association services in South Hedland.
WANADA is grateful for the support and contribution of participating regional member services especially members in the Pilbara.
