Your Opportunity

SHIFT provides outreach alcohol and other drug (AOD) counselling and support to young people experiencing AOD issues, connecting with them in environments where they feel safe and comfortable. Referrals can be accepted from any source, including self-referrals by the young person. As a voluntary service, SHIFT empowers young people with the choice to engage, ensuring that their goals and level of engagement are guided by them. Each referral assessed for suitability and support is tailored to the individual needs of the young person. There are no limits on the length of engagement, which are determined collaboratively by the worker and the young person. The Youth AOD Case Manager will work within the values of Mission Australia, providing AOD counselling and case coordination to young people experiencing AOD and co-occurring issues, contributing to positive outcomes aligned with service contract requirements.

  • Complete a range of other administrative duties for the efficient running of the service.
