Sue has been the Mission Australia State Director (WA, NT, SA) since 2022, leading a diverse portfolio including alcohol and other drug support, housing, homelessness, disability services, family and domestic violence, youth services, emergency relief, and mental health.

Sue brings extensive experience in senior executive roles within State and Commonwealth governments, along with a background in management consulting.

With over 25 years dedicated to improving community outcomes Sue has also served on several Boards, which have benefitted from her expertise in governance, risk, strategic planning, and capacity-building.

A dynamic leader passionate about social justice, equity, and addressing systemic inequality, she is known for her curiosity, advocacy and collaborative leadership, Sue believes that strong partnerships and community-led solutions are vital for achieving lasting change. 

Alex is the Executive Manager for the Alcohol and Other Drug Consumer and Community Coalition (AODCCC), the peak body for consumer systemic advocacy in Western Australia. The AODCCC seeks to promote the interests, education, and welfare of those affected by alcohol and other drug use and amplify the lived and living experience of its members, to inform change and address stigma.

Alex has 23 years’ experience in front line alcohol and other drug service delivery, specifically in the areas of Youth Withdrawal, Rehabilitation, Counselling, Case Management, Staff Leadership and Service Management. Alex is also a qualified Trainer and Assessor currently delivering Diploma of Community Services.

Alex is passionate about empowering the community to engage and inform the systems that are there to serve them. To provide a space to share a diversity of views, to build personal insight and resilience to facilitate difficult conversations, in the pursuit of health, social wellbeing and fulfilment.

Andrew is Chief Executive Officer of Milliya Rumurra Aboriginal Corporation. Milliya Rumurra is an alcohol and drug service based in Broome. Programs provided include residential rehabilitation, a sobering-up shelter, community based prevention and treatment. 

Milliya Rumurra primarily offers treatment services for Indigenous residents, however, non-Indigenous people are also eligible to access services.

Simone Clinch-Moore is a Badimia Yamatji Woman, born and raised in Boorloo (Perth). For the past 13 years Simone has worked at Wungening Aboriginal Corporation, supporting local communities. Simone has recently been appointed General Manager Programs at Wungening, overseeing the Ngalla Wirrin Wunging (Alcohol and other Drugs), ReSet (Justice) and Boorloo Biddi Mia (Housing & Homelessness) programs.

Simone is a member of 'Training Health Providers to work with ATSI LGBTQA+ Youth’ Project Data Governance Committee , Appointed Chief Investigator on an application for Aboriginal Community Controlled Residential Rehabilitation Linkage Study and a member of the Justice Health Group; Community and Lived experience Advisory Group.  

Carol is Chief Executive Officer of Cyrenian House and has worked in the non-government alcohol and other drug sector in various roles from clinical work through to management since 1988. Carol holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and a Masters in Psychology (Clinical), and is a registered Clinical Psychologist. Carol maintains a keen interest in the Therapeutic Community movement. 

Paul Dessauer is the CEO of Peer Based Harm Reduction WA (PBHRWA), a not-for-profit non-government organisation and the state’s only peer-based alcohol and other drug service delivery agency. PBHRWA provides non-judgmental peer-based services including needle and syringe exchange programs, overdose prevention programs, peer education programs, testing and treatment for blood-borne viruses and sexually transmitted infections, and a range of health and harm reduction services aimed at reducing the transmission of infections and reducing the incidence of other harms associated with drug use in communities throughout Western Australia.

Paul has worked at PBHRWA for more than 23 years, with his previous roles involving delivering and coordinating outreach health and harm reduction services, overdose prevention, take-home-naloxone, and peer education projects, and providing consultancy, training, and workforce development for other agencies. Paul has also worked as a Drug and Alcohol Officer for the State-wide Specialist Aboriginal Mental Health Service; as an educator and consultant for the Transnational Institute (in China and Myanmar); and as a trainer for the Burnet Institute for Public Health. In 2002 Paul was awarded an Alcohol & Drug Council of Australia (ADCA) Australia Day Medal. 

Becci Clarke is the Chief Executive Officer of Tenacious House, a residential alcohol and other drug program in Perth's north. 

Dawn is currently the Chief Operations Officer at Palmerston Association. Prior to this, Dawn held the position of CEO at OVIS Community Services for two years, where she led the organisation in supporting people in WA impacted by FDV and at risk of homelessness.

Dawn has a career over 30 years working in executive and management roles across many specialist areas such as FDV, alcohol and other drugs, mental health, homelessness and justice programs. Dawn holds qualifications in Psychology, Counselling and Business and is passionate about supporting teams to improve the lives of people at times of disadvantage, with a focus on compassionate and effective care.  

Sherri is currently the Executive General Manager Services at Holyoake, leading strategic and operational delivery across statewide multidisciplinary teams with a focus on compliance, quality assurance, and transformation initiatives. With over 15 years of experience in alcohol and other drug and mental health services across Western Australia and the United States, Sherri brings deep sector insight and a strong commitment to person-centred, recovery-oriented care.

Sherri holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and is a graduate of Leadership WA’s Signature Leadership Program.

As a member of the LGBTIQA+ community with lived experience of AOD and mental health challenges, Sherri brings a unique perspective that informs her leadership and reinforces her commitment to inclusive and high-quality services.

Jill has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Western Australian Network of Alcohol and other Drug Agencies (WANADA) since 2000. Jill is passionate about supporting sector quality, strategies that promote equitable access to services by marginalised peoples, and enabling the translation of evidence into policy and practice. Jill's work involves advocacy for systems reform that promotes alcohol and other drug use as a health issue. 

Jill graduated from the University of Western Australia with first class honours in Anthropology with a thesis on women and drug use. She developed the WA AOD Sector Quality Framework in 2004. This has now been developed by WANADA into an international accreditation standard for the alcohol and other drug service sector.

Rochelle has returned to the alcohol and other drug sector, following a career that has focused on strategic and organisational transformation spanning multiple human service sectors. Rochelle has worked to improve outcomes for vulnerable people through systemic change, and organisation, function, and program re-design and development. Building effective and trusted relationships with key stakeholders is pivotal to Rochelle’s approach and is essential in her role at WANADA, focusing on supporting sector quality and expanding access to AOD services with the Aboriginal Community Controlled sector.

Rochelle graduated with Honours in Psychology and Politics and is passionate about working strategically and in partnership to improve outcomes for WA’s most vulnerable people.

Originally from Austria, Stefanie moved to Perth in 2016. She has a background in management consulting and employment law. Through her collaboration with stakeholders and customers across the world, Stefanie has developed a sound understanding of economic relations and organisational coherence. With a keen interest in the human service sector, Stefanie is well-placed to support WANADA's ongoing development.

Deanne is from the south west of WA and came to the city to study and later to work. Deanne has maintained a keen interest in not-for-profit communications since finishing her studies at Murdoch University, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Communication Studies and a Graduate Diploma in Journalism. She enjoys working with the diversity of people in the alcohol and other drug sector and sharing the needs, concerns and successes of agencies and consumers with the wider community.

Paola is a hard-working and passionate person with over six years' experience as an Occupational Health and Safety advisor and 10 years’ experience in customer service and administrative duties. Paola is skilled at working to intense deadlines, while providing work and services of a high quality. Paola excels when working in a team, using her communication skills, and is also adept at working independently.

Paola considers her work at WANADA to be a great opportunity to use her experience and knowledge. Paola believes that WANADA’s commitment and support is of value to the whole community, which makes every human being who loves to serve others want to be part of its work team.

Calvin comes from a background in Journalism, graduating Curtin University in 2021 before making a move south to the coastal town of Kinjarling (Albany) in the diverse Great Southern region where he lived for nearly two enriching years, working at a local newspaper as a reporter. He is excited at the prospect of raising awareness of the specialist alcohol and other drug service sector while assisting in influencing meaningful change within the community.

Helin is a dedicated advocate for the human rights of people who use drugs and the implementation of harm reduction policies. Her commitment is reflected in her grassroots activism, notably through her engagement with a national youth organisation focused on connecting and empowering students advocating for change in drug policy.

With a strong interest in health promotion, Helin brings a versatile skill set to support WANADA's work in the AOD sector.

Drawing from her experience in administration, communications, and research, she is well-equipped to contribute effectively to WANADA’s mission.

Holding a Bachelor of Health Science degree with majors in Addiction Studies and Health Promotion, Helin is enthusiastic about applying her skills and knowledge in her role at WANADA. Her recent studies have fuelled her passion for making a positive impact in the field.

Roxanne brings extensive experience in client relations and administrative support to her role at WANADA. With over six years in commercial banking, she has developed strong organisational and communication skills, by managing client relationships and improving processes.

At WANADA, Roxanne looks forward to supporting the planning and execution of key events, including the WA Alcohol and Other Drug Conference. She is eager to contribute her organisational skills and enthusiasm to enhance WANADA’s events and support its mission in the alcohol and other drug sector.

Since attaining a double degree in Health Promotion and Nutrition, Kathleen has worked in the alcohol and other drug sector in research, early intervention, community policy advocacy, and sector development, promoting health and well-being at both the individual and systemic levels.

 At the National Drug Research Institute Kathleen worked on the WA arm of the Australia-wide trial of the OurFutures Vaping Program, managing relationships with participating secondary schools and other stakeholders, overseeing intervention roll out and coordinating data collection and management. In 2024 Kathleen worked alongside WANADA in a research capacity to develop WANADA’S Understanding Lived and Living Experience Leadership Report, exploring how we can enable Lived and Living Experience leadership to strengthen WA’s Alcohol and Other Drug Sector. Recently, Kathleen has been working with Cancer Council WA as the Community Engagement Coordinator, primarily to enhance the systemic inclusion of community in food and alcohol policy advocacy, leading to responsive programs of work for implementation.

As a passionate human rights advocate, Kathleen applies a social justice lens to all of her work and is dedicated to an inclusive, community-driven, systemic approach to prevention and health equity. Kathleen is thrilled to join WANADA and hopes to contribute to driving and influencing systemic change to promote equitable, sustainable community health outcomes.

Through extensive and diverse work in the government and community services sector for over 25 years, Naomi brings an applied understanding of adult and lived experience education; strategic workforce development; human-centred and rights-based approaches; and creating inclusive spaces for multiple perspectives to increase social and natural justice.

With a particular interest in how people and systems interact, Naomi is guided by embodied values and supports approaches that encourage both personal leadership and collective well-being. Through seeing beyond barriers to possibilities, and with a commitment to the magic and wisdom of co-creation, Naomi is focused on exploring solutions that work for people and organisations in real world situations.

Naomi also enjoys wandering and wondering – new places, ideas, people and creative expression! This lively and bright exploration is countered with restorative and contemplative time in nature.
