About the role
The Support Worker / Aboriginal Support Worker provides culturally secure, trauma-informed support to individuals with AOD issues as they transition into the therapeutic community (TC) Modified Stabilization and Detox Program. They mentor and assist clients and their families, ensuring a structured, supportive, and culturally safe environment that aligns with therapeutic community principles. Aboriginal Support Workers bring cultural knowledge and advocacy to enhance support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
Pay Level is equivalent to Level 3 – Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.
