The Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use at the University of Sydney is hosting a webinar Compassion in Healthcare: Barriers and Misconceptions on October 15 2025.

The webinar will give an overview of compassion in healthcare and is part of the University of Sydney’s Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use Comorbidity Project webinar series, which is focused on applying evidence into practice.

Compassion in Healthcare: Barriers and Misconceptions

Speakers include: Dr Erin Kelly 

By the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to outline what compassion is and why it matters for both healthcare professionals and those in their care, recognise common barriers to compassion and consider how these may show up in their own work, reflect on ways they could strengthen compassionate practices in their work and life.
