About the Role:
We are seeking applications for the role of Counsellor Educator, to work with our team at Serenity Lodge, located in Rockingham.
The Counsellor Educator will work within the Therapeutic Community to provide professional alcohol and other drug (AOD) services to residents. The position will work within the context of the therapeutic community, applying a high level of knowledge and skill to support family inclusive practice to individuals and the local community.
The position is level 4/5 with a salary of $93,490 -$110,413 (depending on experience) plus superannuation and salary packaging options available.

To be appointed / successful in this role you will require the following key qualifications, skills and experience:
- A degree in social, behavioural or health sciences or equivalent experience in the alcohol and drug sector.
- Demonstrated and well-developed counselling and group facilitation skills.
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge of alcohol and drug issues.
- Experience in working with consumers from diverse backgrounds and different cultural groups.
- Experience in delivering education and training programs to human service providers and community groups.
- A current National Police Clearance, First Aid Certificate & Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle.
