We are seeking a passionate Diploma Qualified Room Leader to join our team, working part-time, 60 hours per fortnight. Join our vibrant team at Saranna Early Childhood Education and Care Centre (SECECC), where we are dedicated to providing quality care and education to children in a nurturing, supportive environment.

The role of Diploma Qualified Room Leader will promote and support the holistic wellbeing and development inclusive of all children.  All key responsibilities are based on the National Law and Regulations, the Principles, Practices and Outcomes detailed in the EYLF, and the NQF Quality Areas, Standards and Elements. You are expected to have a working knowledge of these documents, which should underpin their pedagogy and, together with the Centre philosophy, directly reflect their relationships with children, families and co-educators. The Room Leader will supervise Early Childhood Educators in the room.

About the role:

To be appointed / successful in this role you will require the following key qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Child Protection Training.
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF)
  • Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent time management, communication and leadership skills, and ability to reflect on these.

Previous conflict resolution skills and experience.

  • Current WWC, National Police Clearance, and full work rights to work in Australia.
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF).
