About the Role
This important role leads the operational management of the Nannup Therapeutic Community (TC) facility, and the services that operate from this site. This involves leadership of a team of approximately 20 staff, and responsibility for the effective management of the facility and service.
The position reports to the General Manager, Residential and Withdrawal Services, and is part of the Cyrenian House leadership team, and will contribute to the ongoing development of our organisation.
The role is full-time at the Nannup Therapeutic Community facility located in a beautiful rural setting near Nannup in the Southwest of Western Australia.
Salary range:
$138,543 -$158,630 per annum without vehicle (depending on experience).
$129,077-$146,699 per annum with vehicle (depending on experience).
The position leads the provision of the following services that operate at the Nannup TC facility:
- Nannup Therapeutic Community – Kongal Wirin Program
The Kongal Wirin program is a 20-bed long-term alcohol and other drug residential treatment program utilising the Therapeutic Community model of treatment.
- Nannup Withdrawal Unit (NWU)
The NWU is a three-bed low-medical residential withdrawal unit. Consumers accessing this service often continue onto the Kongal Wirin Program after completing their withdrawal at the NWU.

Cyrenian House provides a wide range of high-quality treatment services that make a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by alcohol and other drugs. Cyrenian House provided services to nearly 5000 people in 2024/25, and we employ over 250 staff across our 10 main service locations.
To be appointed / successful in this role you will require the following key qualifications, skills and experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social and behavioural sciences.
- Experience in the leadership and management of health and/or community service(s).
- Clinical experience providing alcohol and other drug treatment services directly to consumers.
- Understanding of the Therapeutic Community Model, and the ability and commitment to lead a service using this treatment model.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a senior management team in accordance with a whole of organisation
- Ability to think strategically and lead change management and service development processes.
- A sound knowledge of alcohol and other drug evidence and theory, mental health conditions, and related issues.
- Ability to work well with Aboriginal residents and staff, including an understanding of working within a culturally secure
- Well-developed organisational and time management

Desirable competencies and experience:
- Experience working within a Therapeutic Community.
