About the organisation:

Cyrenian House is a leading not-for-profit non-government organisation that has been operating within the alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment sector since 1981. Cyrenian House provides a wide range of high-quality treatment services that make a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by alcohol and other drugs.

About the role:

With a commencement remuneration package of circa $145k including superannuation and benefits, we are looking for a high calibre professional for this new position in charge of People & Culture. You will ideally have experience working in mid to large sized organisations and thrive on organisational growth and change and the issues that this brings in managing people.

The position is full-time (76 hours PFN) and predominantly based at our Corporate Office in Fitzgerald Street, Perth.

To be successful in this role you will require the following key attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Employment/Industrial Relations, or other relevant discipline/s with several year’s experience, or extensive relevant Human Resource Management experience with a proven track record in delivering results.
  • Awesome communication skills, negotiating with people, in front of many people and dealing with data and using your insight to interpret and report on it.
  • Significant ER/IR experience and experience dealing with complex problems, particularly working with line managers and case managing complaints, grievances, under-performance and/or disciplinary concerns.
  • Significant experience in managing the full process of Worker’s Compensation claims including return to work processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, industrial relations, HR and contemporary workforce management issues.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and drive organisational initiatives and performance.
  • Collaborate with the leadership management team to design and lead workforce planning, including succession planning, workforce development, retention and change management.
  • Highly developed and effective organisational, analytical, and planning skills.
    • Australian citizenship or Residency with work rights.
    • Current National Police Clearance, Driver’s License, and First Aid Certificate and mobile phone.
