About the Role:

We have a permanent part-time position available for Residential Supervisor to join our team at our Munda Mia Therapeutic Community (MMTC). The Residential Supervisor will work with the residential team to provide a safe environment for the residents at Cyrenian House’s residential services. When on shift you will be responsible for maintaining a staff presence within the service while you undertake duties to ensure the smooth running and safety of the residents, including attending to resident concerns, facilitating community groups and activities, supervising medications, and documenting relevant information in handover notes and the client information database.

Some shift requires you to sleep in the premises between 10pm -6am for which a sleep allowance is paid.

About the Program:

MMTC is a 20-adult bed female only program (including the staffing team) where residents have the opportunity to bring their children into treatment. The program focusses on alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment and Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) issues as well as co-occurring mental health concerns, parenting support and mitigating women returning to homelessness.

The position will be located at Munda Mia Therapeutic Community located in Kalamunda.

Due to the nature of this role, in accordance with the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, division 5 section 27 this position is to be occupied by females only.

This is a part-time role working 33 hours per fortnight (Thursday & Sunday overnight sleep shift, and Saturday day shift).

Level 2 $77,589 -$80,527 (depending on experience) per annum pro rata, plus superannuation, penalty rates and sleep & disturbance allowance.

To be appointed / successful in this role, you will require the following key qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated capacity to work responsibly and at times independently in accordance with Cyrenian House policy and procedures.
  • Two-year minimum sobriety/clean time.
  • An experiential knowledge of drug and alcohol addiction.
  • A working understanding of the 12-step philosophy.
  • Demonstrated capacity to maintain a secure environment.
  • Sound skills in communicating with and responding to women and families and in maintaining boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to assert oneself effectively and maintain clear, personal boundaries.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Current National Police Certificate, First Aid Certificate, full Drivers Licence.
