We are seeking an energetic, passionate, and highly committed individual to be part of our team at Midland Withdrawal Intervention Centre, within the role of Residential Supervisor.

About the role:

The Resident Supervisor works within the culturally secure guidelines and adheres to the policies and procedures and is supported by the on-call team after hours. The Centre provides a six-bed low medical withdrawal service and associated support services, including assertive follow-up, family support, and comprehensive care and discharge planning services. The service works closely with Midland Hospital and other services to provide a responsive and flexible service to the community.

The position will be located at our Midland Withdrawal and Intervention Centre (MWIC).

Level 2 $39.14 -$40.62 per hour (depending on experience), plus penalty rates and sleep shift allowance.

To be appointed / successful in this role you will require the following key qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated capacity to work responsibly and at times independently in accordance with Cyrenian House policy and procedures.
  • Two-year minimum sobriety/clean time
  • An experiential knowledge of drug and alcohol addiction.
  • Demonstrated capacity to maintain a secure environment.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to assert oneself effectively and maintain clear, personal boundaries.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people from diverse backgrounds
  • Full work rights, current National Police Certificate, First Aid Certificate, full Driver’s License.

Desirable:

  • A working understanding of the 12-step philosophy.
