Cyrenian House – Senior Support Worker (THASP) – Cyrenian Central

The Role

As a Senior Support Worker (THASP), you will provide assessment, case management, and support to residents of Cyrenian House’s Therapeutic Communities who are engaged in, or preparing to engage in, the Transitional Housing and Support Program (THASP). This role combines client support, relapse prevention, and life skills development with property and tenancy oversight, helping residents transition into independent living. You will work closely with the therapeutic and clinical team, promote community engagement, and ensure the program is delivered in line with Cyrenian House values and policies.

Level 3/4 $83,826 -$99,365 (depending on experience) per annum, plus superannuation and salary packaging.

Cyrenian House provides a wide range of high-quality treatment services that make a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by alcohol and other drugs.

To be appointed / successful in this role you will require the following key qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Experience in working with consumers experiencing alcohol and other drug use issues.
  • Knowledge of services and community resources relevant to the AOD sector.
  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of local services and community resources relevant to AOD recovery and housing support.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation.
  • Sound computer skills for reporting and case documentation.
  • Demonstrated effective written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • If you are a person with a lived experience of addiction, we require at least two years abstinence from AOD use at the time of application and a commitment to remain abstinent.
  • Full work rights, Driver’s Licence, Current Police clearance, Current First Aid Certificate.
