About the role
We are seeking to recruit a Counsellor / Educator to support clients with AOD issues within our Residential Therapeutic Community.
A therapeutic community (TC) is a treatment facility in which the community itself, through self-help and mutual support, is the principal means for promoting personal change. In a TC residents and staff participate in the management and operation of the community, contributing to a psychologically and physically safe learning environment where change can occur.
Pay Level is equivalent to Level 4 – Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.
About you
The successful applicant will be an experienced Counsellor who enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Working within this role will suit individuals who are flexible and able to problem solve. We are seeking someone who is experienced, compassionate and can provide culturally secure counselling, education and support to consumers and their families within a therapeutic community. With experience in clinical assessments and interventions in the areas of mental health and alcohol and other drugs.
