We offer specialised services in alcohol and other drug treatment, mental health, and wellbeing, through counselling, group support, residential rehabilitation, and education—reaching communities across the Perth metro, Peel, South West, and Great Southern regions.

About the Role

📌 We’re looking for someone with strong clinical expertise in the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) sector to provide holistic care, brief interventions, and specialist referrals to clients seeking support through the Community Alcohol and Drug Service. Your skills and knowledge will directly help individuals on their journey to better health and wellbeing.

• Provide assessment, counselling, and referral services to consumers.
• Develop networks, participate in community projects, and provide support to local committees and other community groups.
• Provide training and education to other service providers and community groups.
• Participate in prevention and community development activities as directed.
• Facilitate educational and therapeutic group sessions.
• Carry out internal and external referrals, as appropriate, including alterative treatment services when the CADS is not considered appropriate.

This role is classified at Level 4 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.

What We’re Looking For

You’re more than your qualifications—you’re someone who brings heart, empathy, professionalism and a strong commitment to supporting clients in improving their wellbeing. The ideal candidate will meet the following selection criteria:

• Relevant education or qualification in Counselling, social, behavioural or health sciences.
• Well-established knowledge of alcohol and other drug issues.
• Proven experience delivering assessment, referral and sound clinical interventions.
• Experience in a counselling role or similar.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining strong professional networks to best support the consumers treatment needs.
• Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
