2024 WA Mental Health Conference - Solutions in Motion

The 2024 WA Mental Health Conference – “Solutions in Motion” will be held 26- 27 November 2024 at the Perth Exhibition and Convention Centre. The conference aims to develop, strengthen and support WA’s mental health sector and wider community, so we can work better together in the interest of the community’s mental health.

This event, organised by the Western Australian Association for Mental Health, with principal support from the WA Mental Health Commision, will provide collaborative opportunities for people with lived experience, clinical staff and non-clinical mental health workers; offering the chance to share resources, perspectives and best practices.

Topical keynote speakers this year include:

  • Claudia Karvan, Family member and renowned Australian filmmaker and actress
  • Natasha Short, East Kimberly Aboriginal development and community worker
  • Ellie Hodge, Lived Experience leader
  • Piers Gooding, mental health and human rights researcher, and
  • Dr Kate Johnston-Ataata, Manager of Policy, Health Promotion and Advocacy at Womens’ Health Victoria.

WAAMH has released the program for the 2024 Western Australian Mental Health Conference.

Associate Professor at La Trobe University Dr Piers Gooding will feature at the conference as a speaker.
