WANADA – Multiple Roles – Sector Development/Research and Advocacy
Bring your career to the next level with these dynamic roles in the Western Australian alcohol and other drug sector – a sector passionate about community outcomes, inclusion and equity, cultural security, continuous quality improvement, and evidence-informed practice.
The Western Australian Network of Alcohol and other Drug Agencies (WANADA) is the peak body for the alcohol and other drug education, prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and support sector in Western Australia. WANADA is an independent, membership-driven not-for-profit association.
WANADA is driven by the passion and hard work of its member services, which include community alcohol and other drug counselling; therapeutic communities; residential rehabilitation; intoxication management and harm reduction services; peer based; prevention; and community development services.
As the alcohol and other drug sector is diverse across organisations, services, locations, models of care and populations of focus, the work of WANADA is diverse. We work across sectors, in particular family and domestic violence, mental health, homelessness, justice and health, and with a range of partners. Our work can be targeted, whether by issue, population group, local area, response or need, and also varied, challenging and rewarding.
Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the management team, the roles of Sector Development, and Research and Advocacy Senior Officer/Coordinator will support WANADA’s capacity to represent sector services within research-informed strategic positions for improved community wellbeing, and sector development activity to build sector and inter-sector capability.
WANADA is looking for enthusiastic people with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated experience to join our team – and thrive in an environment of collaboration and innovation. If you have knowledge and experience and are looking to contribute at a sector and systems level, we encourage you to consider applying for one, or both positions.
