WACOSS Sector Consultation – Impacts of the Middle East Conflict on WA Communities & Services

WACOSS Sector Consultation - Impacts of the Middle East Conflict on WA Communities & Services

The Western Australian Council of Social Service (WACOSS) is hosting two online consultations to hear from community service organisations about the impacts of the war in the Middle East on WA households and frontline services.

Regional Services Consultation
Wednesday 8 April – 1:30pm to 3pm (WST)
For regional providers or organisations which deliver services in the regions only

Metro Consultation
Wednesday 8 April – 3:30pm to 5pm (WST)

These consultations will look at how the conflict is adding to cost-of-living pressures, driving up demand for emergency relief and food support, and increasing stress across communities. WACOSS is gathering frontline stories and data to inform its advocacy to the State Government, helping to build an accurate picture of what’s happening in the community, particularly in regional WA, and secure responses that support low-income households and the community services sector.

All community service organisations are invited to attend to share concrete examples of what is emerging on the ground, the pressures they’re facing and what support is needed now and in the months ahead.

if you are unable to attend, you can still contribute your stories, experiences and data via email to WACOSS Advocacy Lead Rebecca Turner at [email protected]
