Help Shape an Alcohol and Other Drug Service for Young People
Help Shape an Alcohol and Other Drug Service for Young People
Help shape an alcohol and other drug service for young people across the Kimberley region. Conversations with key stakeholders, young people and community will be held over coming months, starting in Halls Creek on 26–27 May 2025 and in Fitzroy Crossing on 28–29 May 2025.
This is the first round of discussions, with more to come. The Kimberley Aboriginal Regional Governance Group (KARGG) and Empowered Young Leaders are partnering with Milliya Rumurra Aboriginal Corporation to lead a community-driven process to develop a dedicated Youth Alcohol and Other Drug Service for the Kimberley.
The project has been supported by the Mental Health Commission. Andrew Amor (Milliya Rumurra) and Rochelle McIntosh (WANADA) are visiting communities to listen and learn, with WANADA involvement as a support.
Shape a culturally safe service that reflects your community’s needs. Your views, knowledge and experiences will be invaluable. For more information about the consultation or to confirm times, please contact Andrew via [email protected] or Rochelle via [email protected].
